IBC Tanks Cleveland is a referral service. We don't run trucks or a warehouse. When you request a quote, we pass it to partner suppliers in our network, and the supplier who fills your order arranges delivery or pickup, either with their own vehicles or through a freight carrier. The freight cost, method and timing are stated on the supplier's quote.
Many partner suppliers allow customer pickup by appointment. If you'd like to collect your order, say so in your quote request; the supplier will confirm the location, hours and what vehicle you'll need. A flatbed, box truck or trailer is usually best.
Smaller orders often ship LTL with a regional carrier. Transit time depends on the carrier, the lane and the distance from the supplier.
A full truckload usually gives the best per-tote freight cost. A 53-ft trailer typically carries around 20 single-stacked 275-gallon totes, more if empties can be double-stacked. Lead time depends on lane and current capacity.
Lead times vary by supplier, product and season. Used totes that are already on hand generally move faster than modifications, new special-order totes or built-to-order repurposed goods. Your quote will state the expected timing; if you have a deadline, include it in your request.
Inspect and photograph your delivery before unloading, and note any damage on the delivery paperwork. Report it promptly to the supplier who filled the order, following the claims process on their quote. We focus on Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. Some partner suppliers can deliver further afield; ask in your quote request. Long-haul shipping of empty totes adds cost and emissions, so a closer source is usually the better option when one is available.

Supplier delivery: Many suppliers deliver locally with their own vehicles, which means fewer handlings for empty totes.
Freight carrier (LTL): Used for smaller orders or longer distances. More handlings can mean more risk of cage damage on empties.
Customer pickup: Often available. Arrange a time with the supplier and ask what loading equipment you need.
