New IBC totes — for the times a used one truly can't do it.

We'll always pitch you reconditioned first. But sometimes the regulator, the brand, or the export market wants a sealed, virgin container — and we'll source those too.

First-fill food applications where the receiving plant's SQF/BRC auditor demands sealed origin.

What we stock

We carry 275 and 330 gallon caged composites from three U.S.-based manufacturers, both virgin HDPE and 30% recycled-content variants. Pallet options include wood, plastic and steel. Standard 2" ball valve, optional butterfly or camlock.

The honest sustainability note

A new tote with 30% recycled HDPE has a meaningfully lower carbon footprint than a virgin tote but it's still about 4× the embedded carbon of a reconditioned tote from our yard. If the application allows reconditioned, we'll route you there. We're not interested in selling you a new tote you don't need — we make the same margin either way.

Lead times

New stock is not warehoused in volume. Plan for 7–14 business days from order to availability at our yard. Direct ship from the manufacturer is available for full-truckload orders (8–10 business days). Color-spec or recycled-content runs can stretch to 4–6 weeks during seasonal peaks.

§ 01

When you actually need new

About 8% of our shipments. The genuine cases for new:

DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) handling. ISO 22241 purity requirements are so tight that any prior-contents contamination — even from a previously food-grade bottle — poisons SCR catalysts in diesel engines. New-only inventory is the industry standard.

Pharmaceutical or aseptic-fill staging. Validated cleaning processes require known-history surfaces. Used bottles, even fully documented, often don't pass receiver audits in this space.

Some food applications with strict packaging-history requirements. Rare, but a handful of organic certifiers and a few European-market buyers will require virgin-only HDPE for direct-contact fluid storage.

UN/DOT-marked transport of regulated chemistries where the receiver's compliance team won't accept re-stamped markings on used bottles.

If you're not in one of those categories, used is the better choice on both cost and carbon.

What 'new' includes

Virgin HDPE bottle with the manufacturer's standard certification stamp inside the top hatch ring. New galvanized steel cage. New pallet — wood is default, plastic and steel are upgrades. All gaskets new. UN/DOT marking factory-stamped per the chemistry class you're ordering for.

Lead time: Schutz and Mauser ex-warehouse Cleveland typically ship within 7–10 days. Greif and Snyder run 10–14 days depending on factory backlog. Anything over 20 totes — confirm lead time before ordering, especially in the March–May ag season when factory capacity tightens.

01Can I mix new and used in one order?

Yes. We commonly ship a small DEF allocation of new alongside a larger used-tote order for the rest of the customer's fluid lines.

02Warranty on new?

Manufacturer warranty applies. We don't add a separate warranty — and the manufacturer's is honored through us.

03Bulk discount on new?

Yes — orders of 20+ get factory-tier pricing passed through. Email for a quote.
